My paintings are a continuation of my interest in abstract art, gained from A-Level art study. I am currently in my final year of a degree in History of Modern Art at the University of Manchester. Most of my work is produced using acrylic on board, but I also add watercolour & oil pastels to some works. I am interested in colour in the natural world and the possibilities of abstract forms. Surface texture in painting has also become a focus of my work through the manipulation of the canvas to add a three dimensional quality to a two dimensional art form.
