Artist: Max Speed

Media: Box Art and Assemblage Paintings.

Max lets the dark side of his brain do the talking in these artworks. One the way he pays homage to Bunuel, Cornell, Ernst and Arp, and stops of at the ‘Pound Shop’ on the way - but can’t remember what he went in for . . . In ‘Razorhead’ an electric razor becomes the head of a man you’d rather not kiss, while naked women float through smoked filled rooms, watched by the ever vigilant ’roving eye’.

“Max Speed! Why didn’t I think of that name?” - Hans Arp 1922
