From 1994 – 2001 after graduating from Leeds University with BA(hons) in Theatre Design & Technology, I worked in the Entertainment Industry as a Theatrical Stage Manager on national and regional tours and with major repertory theatres in the UK.
Technology and creativity are an integral part of my world creating believable, engaging environments.
In 2002 I looked for a change of direction. I discovered my IT skills were comparable to the Creatives on the teams I worked with on agency placements and began utilising my theatrical roots in the creative industries constantly surprised by my wealth of transferable skills, adaptability and lateral thinking essential and second nature to any effective Stage Manager.
I began developing web sites and enrolled on an IT programme in 2002 where I learnt the foundation skills of web design I rely on today.
I am amazed by the constant change and advance of technology. I follow it with curiosity and a sense of pioneering spirit looking for useful ways to make sense of and proliferate the ocean of content available.
Based in Sneinton, Nottingham in the East Midlands of the UK, PCM creative has developed its First Cite, Reach Out and Celebrate packages after receiving a start up grant from Nottingham Business Venue's Nottingham Entrepreneurial Scholarship.
The aim is to provide a service that can evolve and grow with new businesses and provide a tailored service for established organisations wanting to embrace Web 2.0, the Social Networking phenomenon of Facebook and Linked In and for the really innovative and adventurous, the virtual world platform, Second Life.
Engaged as a developer or as a consultant to liaise with an existing web design company PCM listens and delivers what clients need.
